Winner of the Best-in-Class Gold Medal at the Los Angeles International Wine Awards, this traditional Junmai Ginjo is named for the river that flows between Mt. Tsukuba and has, since it’s inception, been served as the sacred wine of the Tsukuba Shrine. Brewed using detailed hand-crafted work, this Muroka (non-filtered) sake is extremely fragrant, showcasing the aromas of ripe lychees and bananas, with a hint of strawberries on the palate and a mild and pleasant dryness. When chilled, it offers a refreshing fruit-like sweetness and a fine, lingering finish. As the temperature rises gradually, however, the firm flavour opens even further, allowing one to feel the quality of the rice and water on one's palate.
