The average age of the brewers at Hachinohe Sake Brewery is 30 years old. Many of them are keen to express their ideas and experiment with different styles of brewing. The Mixseed series is released every year showcasing four different members of the brewing team (the MIX). The word SEED references the sprouting of their sake brewing potential.

Shuwawawa is the work of Mr Kyosuke Nakasone, aged 28 years, whose personal motto is to do small things steadily. He has produced a cloudy, softly pink sake with flavours of apple and cream and cherry. It has a gently gassy fizz which adds to the refreshing experience of drinking this thick textured sake. The pink colour comes from the yeast that was used to ferment the rice. It is recommended to try this sake over ice or even with fresh fruit included as a cocktail. He wants this sake to be a good introduction to sake for those who may never have tasted sake before.
